WFTU Trade Union International Public Service & Allied (TUI-PS&A) Solidarity Message On The General Strike By Workers Of Greece By The Militant PAME Trade Union On The 9th Of November 2022

Tuesday November 08, 2022

The World Federation of Trade Unions [WFTU] Trade Union International Public Services and Allied [TUI PS & A] and millions of its members in different parts of the globe stand with the workers of Greece in their Strike Action against the government, the bourgeois class, the European Union and USA led NATO.

1. WFTU TUI PS&A supports PAME and the generality of Greece workers in the following struggles;

2. A fight Against austerity measures, the deteriorating working conditions and stagnant wages which have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 Pandemic and Neoliberal Policies by the Greek Government. The demand for workers not be made to pay for the Ukraine-Russia Imperialist war either financially or by material support or any other means that seeks to syphon the resource which should be destined for the poor. Workers want the Greek government to disengage from its participation in USA-NATO-Russia-Ukraine war.

The Workers and the working class in Greece are being made to pay for economic recovery of an economic collapse they did not cause. In the meantime, business is being showered with millions of euros in economic support by the political elite.

We call on all workers and progressive workers of the World to join PAME and other trade unions of Greece in ensuring that the strike on the 9th of November 2022 is a success and that it achieves its objectives of alleviating the economic burden put on the shoulders of the Greek people.
